December  4 - Definitely Snow.

Well, it's the real deal, it snowed late last night. Before it could all melt away, since the weather here is temperamental, Wolfe and I were out in the front yard, taking pics.  Now, we don't have a flash, so it was tricky.  We put a bright bulb in our porch light, opened our blinds, and of all things, brought a candelabra out into the snow with us (which required much relighting, since the snow was still falling)! That, and trying to walk in wet snow, with a non-frozen mushy ground in slippery soled thigh high stiletto boots, adds up to some excitement.  Never mind the fact that I'm flashing and trying not to alert all our city neighbors peeking out their windows at the lovely snow that I'm mostly naked in my front yard.  It was great fun.  I also get so heated up by the process of posing for pics, that I wasn't at all cold, amazingly enough since my bare bottom ended up in the snow at one point (the coat's not that long)!  So as well as the pic of the day, I've put some little sneak previews at top for you to see, though I was a bit stingy about it, they don't open up larger.  The gallery is not that big (there are only so many pictures you can take in these kind of working conditions), so I didn't want to give too much away!

I also in my second entry yesterday, over all my excitement about the column for Scarlet Letters, forgot to tell you that after an hour of torture, I did manage to get my naughty cat Nikko back in the house.  Just in case any of you were wondering and thinking I might be this horrible person who can go merrily along in life while their naive cat is running around in peril outdoors.  He's turned into a menace now, watching the door for his chance to escape.  I may have to buy him a harness and start walking him.  We live by a very busy street, and this cat is fearless to the point of stupidity.  I would like him to have more than a two month life span.  I know some may disagree with me, but I have always owned indoor only cats.

I used to walk Mishima when he was a young cat, and he loved it.  So we'll see.

I've also decided that I want to put my real name to my column in Scarlet Letters, so I'll be outing myself for those curious people who need to know.  I'm still working on my biographies page, so I'll likely have that info there too as well.  I knew it was only a matter of time and circumstances.  Though I'll still keep everything as 'Katt' here, because that name is very much mine as well.

It's good to have a lot of names.  I have lots of pet names, I always had unusual pet names from my parents as a kid, and as an adult in my relationship with Wolfe, I discovered I liked really corny traditional pet names, like princess and kitten.  Things that I would never have been called as a little girl, that made me feel little girl precious special all over (stop gagging out there!).

I also like to be called some very nasty names too I'm afraid.  Actually, I like that a lot.  Very very much.  <blush>

The best is when it's alternated between sweet sweet, and nasty nasty... oh dear, now I'm perving.   <pant>

Hmmm, better switch topics, before I get too hot and bothered.  Speaking of hot, I had lots of fun modifying some pictures from another shoot we did last night after we got in from the snow.  I posed on orange sheets, in a red outfit, and red fishnets, and then created some flame and smoke effects for a bit of a fantasy theme.  I'll have a gallery of it here in my solo area, and then I also did some foot fetish pics for www.dominaction.com. Actually, we did three shoots total, because I also shot a series of Wolfe nude on the oriental rug.  I love taking pics, and I wanted to be on both ends of the camera last night.  So, as is typical for me, I've been up all night photo editing. I don't usually alter things all that much, but I crop down the extraneous space in the image if there is any, and I make minor color and light adjustments.  Then occasionally I get creative and do things like the snow gallery from last month, and now my inferno gallery for this month.  I guess sometimes too I'll want black and white, or sepia, or very high contrast, and I'll adjust a gallery accordingly.  What I don't do is a lot of air-brush style image altering.  I want to add artistic touches, but I also want to keep it real, and I want to keep the integrity of the original image, the spirit in which it was shot.  Preferably anything I do in paint shop is an enhancement to the original concept.

So, here I am, 5 A.M. writing my journal entry before I go to bed.  I really need to sort out my sleep cycle!
