October 12th - Autumn Candles
One of the things I love about the fall weather, and summer's heat subsiding
Is it becomes cool enough to light candles. I rarely light candles over the summer
because of the additional heat they put out, but once the fall wind starts to howl
outside, and the sun sets earlier, the inspiration to ignite a room rises.
These candles I made as a project in the summer though. I love making things.
Especially decorative items. It's simple if you want the how to. In the kitchen/dollar store
I picked up some sushi rolling mats, and then went to their section of glass tumblers and
found some tall glass tumblers that were the same circumference as the mat once it was
rolled around the glass. Then when I got home I used butchers string to tie the mats
around the tumblers and inscribed Asian characters in the center of each.
Voila, drop a tea light into the bottom, use a long lighter, and we have ambiance.
I don't know what candle light does for you, but it makes for a romantic and erotic
mood for me. That and the fact that I had someone logged onto the webcam
inspired me to play a little on the camera in my candle-light room. Mind you
I didn't get up to too much fun as I had a lot of work to do while sitting at the computer
So I alternated between playful flirtatious poses and working away on the site.
That reminds me, one of the things I haven't done for a while is play with hot
candle wax... hmmmmm... I think I have some ideas for future cam shows and
photo shoots. Speaking of cam shows, I have to get barbie and Wolfe to set
another date for my duct taping experience.. purrrrrrrrrrrrr.I love this time of year... Autumn is my favorite season.
Still many sunny days, but then there are the gentle rainy days, and the stormy days...
All the trees come into their fall colors, and I love fall clothes; Boots, hats, gloves, long coats.
I also love hot food when it's cold out, Hearty dishes, roasted fall veggies, roasts, chili, soups, stews..
I love cooking.
