September 13th - Nikko Ko Neko
Japanese for Sunbeam kitten. The newest member of our household...
Hopefully he will help fill some of the empty spaces, particularly as a companion for our
old girl Zu Zu (11 years - her full name, Nezumi Neko) who is also missing Mishima dearly.Nikko is a year old. He was found after a few weeks of us scouring every local shelter
for the right cat. Not too old, not too young. Gentle lovey personality. A boy.
Nikko loves to hug around your neck, and rub his face all over you. He loves to snuggle
and wants to be close and cuddly with everyone.Zuzu is still wary of him, and gives him the occasional hiss, but is letting him slowly get
closer and closer, my prediction is in a week or two I'll be able to post a picture of them
curled up together.
What a handsome boy! he went to the vet today... and poor guy, like many rescue cats
needs some medical attention. Antibiotics for his URI (cold), and treatment for his ear
mites, fleas, and possibly internal parasites.
okay... I'm falling in love again. Who wouldn't with eyes like that, and that big smile.
