March 21

Mmmmm, just got back from dinner at Paggliacci's  Restaurant one of our favorite places in Victoria.  Scrumptious pasta dinner, Wolfe had 'On the Beach' - egg noodle linguini with mushrooms, garlic, and Fontana cheese, I had the 'Sophia' spinach fettuccini noodle with cream sauce with crab and shrimp, lox, and pine nuts.  Then the cheesecake... they have the best New York cheesecake I've ever tasted, and it hasn't changed in the 20 years that I've been going there.  Everything there actually has changed very little, the menu and the decor making only the slightest changes over the years.  But that cheesecake, a little piece of heaven, well not so little piece!

Then afterwards, more shopping, we hit a different mall in town, and I picked up a couple of more pieces of clothing, a long pinstriped coat with an unusual cut and great fabric, and a sheer black top.

Earlier in the day we had gone out again to the same beach as yesterday, and again the dogs were wildly happy.  Iggy swam a lot, yesterday where he would just swim a little and then give up on retrieving the stick, well today, he wouldn't give up, he'd swim and swim and swim, and proud as can be come back with the stick, and if we didn't throw the stick right away, well a few times he just went out and swam for the sheer joy of it.  That water is freezing cold, but I know from experience, once you've gone in and your soaking wet, you're warmer swimming in the icy ocean - than out of it, wet in the cold beach wind at this time of year.

Unfortunately we had left the camera at home both times we went to the beach, mind you, Iggy's little wet head doesn't look like much of anything sticking up out of the water.

Po, the little brat, at the beech, peed on my mother's leg, again.
