Sushi! Wolfe and I went shopping at
VV Boutique, well VV Boutique is what I call Value Village, a chain of
second hand stores. He hates to go, but relinquished to my
pleadings and came with me, I like to pile the lingerie and shoes into
his arms while I rifle through the racks. Then we went for sushi
afterwards.
But back to VV Boutique, I scored
TWO maid aprons, which I like to collect, because when/if I get
service submissives in, sissy maids, they are invaluable, I can also
use them for photo shoots. I find the only place I can get them
is second hand, and then, they come cheap, one was 99 cents, and the
other was 1.99$. One is a light blue sheer polyester with lace
trim! woo!... it SCREAMS sissy maid. The other is the real
cotton lace trimmed maid apron that has a split bib and big lush ties
in the back, very service like, yet still a little frilly and very
much a -maid- apron.
I also scored for 3.99$ a blue
satin with black lace teddy that is tackily pornographic, and
therefore perfect for what I do <laugh>.
Lets see, what else, oh yes, at 99
cents a 6 foot long white plastic garment back that zips top to
bottom, can you say body bag for kinky play.
And a pair of sensible black shoes,
I have too many to count, at 3.99$, who can resist immaculate Brazilian
or in this case Italian black leather, not I.
So with tax the whole haul was
13-14$. I was happy happy. Decided we should celebrate and
hiked to a nearby sushi joint. Living in Vancouver Canada has
the likely hood that where ever you are in town, there will be a sushi
bar in walking distance.
This place I had only been to once
before, about 13 years ago with a Japanese artist friend of mine,
Noboru Sawai, who I used to model for. He's a very talented
Japanese Canadian printmaker, and I used to love to pose for the
photos he would later use as inspiration points to compose his prints
from. I have three of his works, all of them unabashedly of
me. Not that I'm recognizable in them. At any rate,
needless to say, he knows good sushi, and this place is
fantastic. The tuna was melt in your mouth perfect, the flavor
exquisite, and we ate a shameless plethora of it. The salmon was
almost equally good, and it didn't take long for us to glut
ourselves. Happy tummies, the late dinner cost us only a little
over double what the shopping did.
We'll definitely be going back.
I used to, many years ago, go to
sushi bars regularly enough, sitting at the bar, to develop a close
rapport with the sushi chefs, which resulted in a mutual exchange of
buying them drinks, and getting gifts of rare delicacies. This
is a relationship I realized tonight, I may be missing in my life
right now, one I'd dearly like to cultivate again. Wolfe and I
have decided we'll return to this place in particular, since the owner
is a very skilled Japanese fellow, the same that served me 13 years
ago, and we'll see. If he's a traditional sort of chap, it shall
take a couple of more visits, a couple of rounds of sake, and I'll be
sampling new flavors in a few months. If not we'll just have to
go try to ply other Japanese sushi chef's elsewhere. Who knows,
maybe I'll run into Noboru again, it's been a while.
(In case you were wondering, I have
at least 7 different sushi backgrounds collected, so far <grin>)
