Love affair with my bath....
You may have noticed, many many of the latest cam galleries are me in the bath. I am still grooving on the fact that we have a cam cord that allows the cam to reach the bathroom now, and I have to say, that laying in the bath is one of my favorite activities.
I am sadly out of Epsom salts and bubble bath.. and am currently making do on only essential oils in my bath, which are always an essential ingredient. I love aromatherapy. Last night I used just ylang ylang and in a rather generous quantity, but I usually make a blend of some sort... I use a lot of jasmine too, though I'm out and it's costly to replace. Sandalwood too is a frequent ingredient. Mmmm, and lavender. I also love sweet orange, neroli, bergamot, lemon grass... anything citrus. Less often, but sometimes... geranium, bay, rosemary, juniper, violet, peppermint. On a hot summer day, a peppermint bath leaves you feeling cool, exhilarated... Peppermints intense cooling action can be very erotic, and I have used diluted peppermint oils or water based sprays when I've dominated submissives before. It can definitely bring a keen awareness to certain body parts. I probably have more oils, some I very rarely use, but those are all that I can think of for now.
baths are definitely about more than just washing for me... I almost always wash first before I even get into the bath. Shower, soap, scrub, rinse.. and then when I'm clean, stop up the tub for a long soak. Sometimes I'll scrub or brush or exfoliate more once I'm in the tub again, but its usually just a superficial thing... more to enjoy the sensation of something rough over my tender skin. Just to re-engage in that ritual of polishing the skin... loofah...
I have had some very unusual baths.. the wine bath, as you saw not that many days ago, was perhaps my most recent 'unusual' bath.. but I've experimented before with odd baths.Sometimes based on ancient recipes for health and beauty, things I've come across in odd places, and thought to try. Oatmeal is one of my favorite things to add to the bath... Using an old stocking (clean of course!) I fill a good few cupfuls of oatmeal into it and knot it to make a bag of oatmeal, and then I run it under the tap as the bath fills. Then I'll use the bag of oatmeal as a 'sponge'.. the stocking fabric exfoliates, and the run of from the oatmeal, has got to be one of the softest slipperiest skin conditioners known to man... ultra mild (unless you have wheat allergies), extremely slick feeling, very erotic. I highly recommend it, come on.. be brave!
Another common one for me for herbal baths... are tea bags.. I'll steep a really strong pot of herbal tea.. ridiculously strong, as a tincture, rather than a tea, and add it to my bath. Has a tonic effect. Then I'll slip the tea bags out, and again, use them to tone over my face... Honestly, often these ingredients are the same things spas sell for a pretty penny, the herbs are the same.. they're just sold for different reasons and priced differently.
An ancient greek exfoliation treatment.. pre bath, is equal parts coarse salt and olive oil, rubbed all over the skin.. then rinsed off. I've used regular fine table salt more often than not. This is really good if you have dry skin... removes the dead skin, and softens all your skin at the same time... leaves you very soft.
I've also added seaweed to my bath.. lots and lots of seaweed.. again, cheap version of the spa treatment... I don't know about you, but I love what being in the sea does to my skin, conditions it, often heals any small problems up... blemishes, rashes, little scrapes. You don't have to live by the ocean and steal seawater and seaweed.. actually I don't recommend that. What I do, I buy sea salt, and I buy various kinds of dried seaweeds/kelps from my local asian grocer, and I load it in. Cleaning the kelp out of the tub can be a pain mind you.
A good general rule of thumb, is if it's healthy to eat, it will probably at least do you no harm in the bath. healthy to eat... read, do not add Chee-tos and Coca Cola to the bath.
