October 23rd - Bath Cam
Tested out Wolfe's theory last night that the cam reaches the bathroom
It does indeed
So I engaged in my regular bathing
rituals on the live web cam, nice
deciding
that I wanted it to be a bit blue
Something about water and colour
Contrast, and the difference between dirty
and clean that I wanted to capture
In image, on the screen, a bit rough
Sex and bathing are
like that for me
rituals, dirty and clean... not dirty in a
bad way.. just, real, that little edge
It's there.. well lubricated in lust
I didn't want my
images... pristine
I don't like my sex like that either
Why have anything
straight up?
that would be dishonest, really
the reality is, the bath is blue and edgy
high contrast, cold and hot
dirty and clean.. it looks like this
if you're looking right...
It's sometimes a
little bit awkward
There's a little tension there.. in the slippery
hard surface of the bath, never quite enough
room to maneuver in.
But at the same time,
it's bliss
A little like life I suppose
Warm and embracing, filled with
the sloughing off of your old dead cells
and the dirt you accumulate...
A little hard at times, slippery at times
not quite enough room to maneuver in
Though that's a rather
passive analogy...
Life in the bathtub.
That's
okay, I don't mind being passive
I like to lay still and feel the world
moving around me
the water, my lovers, the air, everything
Not that I think my center is 'the' center
there's no center, it's all center
in an infinite world...
Time to get out,
get dry
crawl into the red bed
and turn the colour up...
