October 15th - Reconnecting

Been grooving on my camera angle lately which is up high and looking down on me.. maybe that's a reflection of how I'm feeling lately.. humbled in the world.

Not in a bad way, just aware of my smallness in the
great big cosmos... little flame in the vast see of Nu's
great dark belly. Reconnecting with myself, and my
place in things, and feeling good about it.

Excellent day today, really really enjoyed spending the
day with Wolfe together.
Slept in late, totally relaxed... and lay in bed warm and lazy after that for a nice long stretch. The apartment was a bit on the cool side, and I had one of those ultra hot showers when I did finally decide to get up.

Wolfe and I then decided to walk into downtown.. needed to do some shopping, in particular buy a new microwave to replace yesterdays exploding one.  We live really close by to the city center, and the day was beautiful, we picked up breakfast/lunch on the way from a little takeout place.. I had fried rice with a big slab of yummy tender salty sweet bbq pork sliced over top of it.  Wolfe had some fried noodles and a couple of egg rolls.. and we walked and shoveled and shared as we went, chatting with some street folx on the way, everyone seemed to be cheery today.

Ended up trying on a bunch of clothes together, and
having a blast doing it, and buying about 10 items... for
only about 200$.. so felt good about that... 2 pairs of
black pvc pants, one pair of baggy burgundy pants, three
waffle shirts, one heavy fuzzy polar fleece top in orange,
and a second one in green, and then a heavy weight red pvc vest with black trim and a black pvc coat.. phew...
I love sales!  All men's clothes.. which I tend to wear, so Wolfe and I share, since we take the same size. We had a fitting room side by side, and we were playing footsies, and well, handsies, under the shared partition...

Then we found a microwave.. on sale too.. not ultra cheap.. but not too bad either.  We hauled the whole lot back on the bus with us, lurching about as our bus driver
seemed to like to put his brakes to the test often, and in
the type of mood where all we could do was laugh about
it, and that it was a good thing the microwave was under
warranty because if it didn't make it home in one piece...
we'd return it.

Spent some time then re-hanging the art on our walls, finally! to make more sense in terms of the renovating and redecorating we did earlier - months earlier.  Got some more apartment cleaning done as well, and feeling
like things are coming together around here a bit more
which is always a nice feeling.

Next at home project is to go through all my old clothes
and decide what I never wear anymore and get them to
a consignment store.

Picked up some wine earlier when we were out, and now
sitting in our candle-lit, incense-filled space... admiring the art on the walls and waiting for Ty and bi-boy to arrive for a little visit.
