August 24th - Odds and Ends
Other than enjoying the ever changing sensation of my scalp since the shave, there hasn't been too too much new. I love when you shave, and the hair grows back so quickly, that the texture seems to change by the hour.
I should do a time lapse slide show of my hair growing... <grin>
Had a lot of fun on the camera yesterday with one of my fave regulars... It's amazing how some people can just bring out the exhibitionist in me. I played with my new wigs with him watching... the three I bought this week... and definitely I notice the quality of the pictures/cam snaps I get when I have an appreciative audience live at the time are much better than if I'm just playing around on my own. I then had fun making some slide shows with them, a number of slide shows what with all the ones from the head shave too... which still have to go up.

..Discovered last night that someone had pirated our entire questcam... modified it to make it a faster refresh cam and had it running on their site. We wrote them a polite letter to ask them to remove it... they wrote back saying our loss, we'd be missing out on the 'free traffic' , they weren't entirely evil people, they had stuck a banner for our site under it... I guess deciding in their mind that that made it fair. But seems they'd taken it down anyways. We want to avoid getting into legal battles as much as possible with that kind of thing.. and you don't want people to start feeling vengeful and trying to seriously fuck up our site either, so we try to be 'professional' when we deal with people instead of just blow up at them. Makes you wonder how many other places are doing it and have gotten away with it. So many sites are made up of stuff that is literally just stolen content from other peoples hard work. You wonder why some webmasters can manage/afford to run an entirely free site? Well it's because some of them pirate everything. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

was actually talking about something similar with a co-worker the other day,
they were saying that the nice thing about my neighborhood... (not the nicest
part of town), is that you can buy just about anything on the street.. really
cheap. electronics, CD's.. etc. I said, 'yeah, you can, but would
you want to?' His reply was 'why not, it's not like it's hurting
anyone'... I reminded him that didn't he have his car broken into last month?...
he's like 'yesssss...?' So what do you think happened to your car stereo
and CD's?... Markets are supply and demand. If you buy from a
thief, it's just like you're taking it from someone else yourself.
Well the guy who pirated our webcam... I don't think he really thinks he did anything wrong. Some people just feel they are entitled to what other people do. Not only that, but I'm sure he has people visiting the site who think nothing more than.. 'hey, this is a really great site!.. I can get all this stuff for free! Why would I pay for it somewhere else?... those other people are just ripping me off.' (yah right) I've noticed in the hair fetish community, there are people who do the same... they pirate other peoples work, and they have a popular site with 'recycled' material... some of it they have permission to use and that's totally cool (I send free pics to all kinds of sites and people to use all the time... I just like to have control over what goes where, for a number of reasons), but some of it is copyright violation pure and simple. A lot of people happily consume it, thinking, why not, I'm not hurting anyone... I just want what I want.. free, easy, fun... where's the harm? Well... some people will probably never agree with me on it, but intellectual property is as valuable as material property.. if not more so. This is little bits of me I'm 'selling'.. and as such, when someone 'steals' it and redistributes, takes part of the control away from me... it feels like a violation. The world be so much a better place if we all just played a little 'fairer'.
Okay enough of that rant... on to happier things!

I was in a 'black and white' mood... first time I've actually done black and white pics with the cam.. well not true black and white, more a kind of a sepia tone. I spent two days 'in sepia' I liked it a lot and plan to do more of it....
Hoping

Okay, for any for whom it hasn't become totally obvious, I seriously am longing for a girl relationship in my life right now. Not just for that amazing girl-girl sex, but also for that girl-girl connection on other levels too.

My problem is probably that I'm too picky. There are potential relationships that come along all the time, but usually not the right combination of qualities that get me going. I find most women attractive on some level... but I have pretty stringent things I look for in a relationship... and really, am not very interested in sex for sex's sake, though often because I'm very out with my sexuality.. the website, etc, people assume otherwise.
Wolfe and I have been together for over 8 years now... and all together, we've slept with less than a dozen other people... and have usually approached relationships together as a pair. I know people who consider themselves to be traditionally monogamous and conventional who have been more promiscuous. Not that I'm not a slut... I think that can be a rather positive word really... I'm a very 'sex positive' person... ie, a slut. I just have my own set of needs and feelings around sex and sexual partners, not necessarily better or worse than other peoples... I don't frown down on people who do have a more active/promiscuous lifestyle.. or a less active/promiscuous lifestyle... to each his or her own.
