Lap Band surgery
Well, I thought for a while I was going to do the balloon weight loss procedure, non-surgical. Yet after even more research and inormation, I’m back to lap band surgery, which is still just a day procedure, goes in through a tiny incision and is easily adjustable and reversable. It costs about twice as much, but the effects are longer term, which is what I’m going to need. I didn’t originally realize that the balloon has such a short term effect, and would need to be replaced again and again if I continued to need the effect. Would end up costing me more in the long run likely. So, that’s pretty much settled. Sometime early this year will bring me stomach constricted, and making some big adjustments, I’m nervous, but hopeful.
Last night we made use of the car, and for no apparent reason other than boredom got sucked over to the only place open to shop on a sunday night , the evil Walmart. Walmart joy! I’m a little embarassed to say, I love the evil Walmart. We came away with entirely too much stuff we probably didn’t need. Actually it started after we’d gone out to our new favorite sushi spot now that we have wheels, Clubhouse sushi on 2nd Ave. They make this wicked cone that has tuna, scallop, tobiko (little fish eggs) and japanese mayo, it’s like a chopped scallop cone but with tuna in it too, which gives it this extra buttery rounded out flavor and texture. Clubhouse has a huge menu, but everyday they have specials for that day which are a really good value, so we did some of that. After sushi I was hoping to go to Value Village, but forgot that they close at 6 on sundays instead of 9, like they do every other day. Well the shopping bug had already bitten me, so we went and drove over the bridge to the North Shore to go to what I new would be open, Walmart. The pretense was to buy some hair accessories. My hair has gotten into an awkward length again, and I needed to get some pretty things to help control it. I also picked up a wicked big paddle brush, red and black, so nice for brushing hair and bruising bottoms. Then I was sucked into sale area of lingerie and underwear, and picked up a set of tank top and undies, pink edged in black. The undies boy style, with funky queen of hearts logos on both. Perfect for a photo shoot, hey, what can I say, it was a business expense for Wolfe. Then it was the pet area, and lots of chews for the dogs. Stuff for the car. A new bedside lamp because ours died. Energy saver natural light bulbs. More and more and more. Before we knew it we were at the checkout with well over a hundred bucks worth of ’stuff’. Ah well, every once in a while. Technically though it was stuff we needed, and it was all a good deal. Funny enough we ran into other people who live in our building, they have a bug, bostonXpug like our Iggy. Well they were in the pets section of Walmart too. We, semi embarassed, told them that we recently got a new car, and it’s like this drive to just get in and go somewhere and do something. -They- just got a car too and going from being car-less like us were doing the exact same thing, so we all had a laugh.
