Willy Wonka
The movie rocked, pardon the pseudo redneck expression. Lets be kewl, the movie rawked… there that suits my mohawked head better (I am so not a joiner). It was a very pleasant movie indeed. Now I want to see the old one with Gene Wilder, I never had and maybe read the book. Why not.The little girl came out with us, and it was good. Stopped in at Death by Chocolate just before the movie, in keeping with the spirit. Mind you I went with a slice of caramel apple cheesecake instead of anything choclatey.
I was wearing shoes for the first time in many months, as I’ve been wearing the same pair of comfy sandals for a while now, dressy ones that go with everything. So since I was wearing my nice retro rock a billy 50’s style red with white polka dot dress, I thought I’d put on a pair of lace trimmed bobby socks and my red pantent mary janes. The movie theatre is only a couple of blocks from wear we live, but I still had to take my shoes off for the walk home. It’s not that they are a bad fit, or high heeled they’re your average flat mary janes, I just have extroidanarily sensitive feet, it doesn’t take much to wear a raw spot on me. I’m really comfortable in bare feet, even walking the skid row streets between the movie theatre and where we live, after all, all you need to do is look down, its not like I’m going to jump up and down on a used needle or a shattered crack pipe. People still look at you funny though. I often go to the corner store in my bare feet, and it does get a few looks. I think if all businesses, restaurants and shops would let me in that way, I would stop wearing shoes for anything but taking photos in. They’re beautiful objects, but I love having my feet on the ground.
Well, its after midnight, time to log on to neopets and do my dailies. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re missing out!
